Participants will be able to understand and describe to students how segregation, redevelopment, absentee landlords, redlining, and other discriminatory practices have impacted cities across the nation and left a lasting legacy. They will leave with resources to help identify how this has applied in their city and how to incorporate this topic into their curriculum or bring it back to their organization. The goal is to equip participants with the ability to reduce misunderstandings about areas that have been negatively affected by these discriminatory practices by bringing the historical causes outside of people's control to the forefront of people's minds.

"Educators for Social Justice" is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. P.O. Box 179151, St. Louis, MO 63117
